Our philosophy is that to really experience the deeply sensuous power of the Last Frontier, you need to be out in the wilds of Alaska. What could be more luxurious than to be watching wildlife, surrounded by seemingly endless pristine mountains and water - breathing unpolluted air!

With more than ten years of offering fun trips across Alaska in all months of the year and sharing this great state with thousands of people (including many locals), we feel our experience and knowledge make us without a doubt your best option for a fabulous Alaska tour or adventure (gay or not). Many other companies hire tour guides from "outside" (that's Alaska-speak for outside of Alaska). Our guides are fun and knowledgeable full-time Alaskans. Additionally, our guests are much more fun than your average tourists. We often find that other tour guides we meet on the road are jealous of the fun we are having with our great groups!

We believe that by teaching our guests about Alaska wilderness, ecology, glaciers, and the visible effects of climate change, we can help encourage our guests to do more to protect Alaska’s and other wild areas that are essential to the health of our planet.

Explore Alaska

Out in Alaska's Land Tours offer in depth exploration of Alaska's diverse coastal, alpine, and interior habitats.
Our comfortable Land Tours make it easy to explore Alaska and offer a much more in depth visit to Alaska than cruises (most Alaska cruise visitors want to return and see more of Alaska on land). Of course the Last Frontier is very wild and a bit rough around the edges. Accommodations tend towards basic, but comfortable while our fresh seafood, scenery, and wildlife are world-class! Adventurous travelers who are open to new and different experiences will love exploring Alaska on land. Typical group size is 5-10 fun travelers. More info

 

Experience Alaska

Out in Alaska's Adventure trips are the ultimate way to experience the sublime wilderness of the Last Frontier.
Truly get away from it all on an Out in Alaska adventure trip as we explore and experience the wilds of Alaska by hiking, rafting, kayaking, walking on glaciers, and more. Although not for everyone, these camping based adventure expeditions are our signature Alaska experience. With our outdoor education background and equipment that we can provide you, we can take just about anyone out in the wilderness and show you the adventure of a lifetime! You need to be active, have a good attitude, and a sense of adventure, but no previous outdoor experience is required. Typical group size is 4-8 active travelers. More info

The sky is the limit here. Our local experts can plan a romantic week at a fabulous remote lodge, bear viewing tour, wilderness expedition, or land tour for a couple, family, group, corporate retreat, etc. Our custom options include both guided trips and independent itinerary planning.

Out in Alaska offers a variety of short adventures from our home base in Fairbanks.
Our short adventures vary from half-day hikes, to Arctic Circle driving tours, to multi day trips in the Arctic to the Brooks Range, to day or overnight rafting trips. These short adventures are a great addition to your cruise tour, business visit, etc. to Fairbanks.
