Join Out in Alaska for a luxurious cruise through the Inside Passage of Southeast Alaska all the way up to Seward (near Anchorage), Alaska. Most cruises are round trip cruises and start and end in Seattle or Vancouver – and only include a few hours on land in Alaska! Our cruise does not double back, but this northbound voyage ends much farther north (in the Southcentral region of Alaska where a majority of Alaskans live) than the typical cruises. Even if you fly directly home from Anchorage after disembarking the cruise ship, you will easily spend twice as much time on land and see much more of Alaska than most cruisers! Note that its very easy for cruise guests to fly one way from Anchorage south to your home city– we can even help book your flights as part of your cruise booking.
For the ultimate Alaska experience, we recommend combining this cruise with our Trip 14 – Denali and Kenai Fjords Fall Aurora Tour.
Out in Alaska is the only locally owned and operated LGBT travel company guiding tours and hosting cruises in Alaska! Other companies are visitors (“cheechakos” – Alaskan for a greenhorn) so while you can see Alaska with them, only with Out in Alaska will you experience Alaska. As a bonus, your travels with Out in Alaska benefits the local LGBT community – no other company offers that. Alaska has a very decentralized LGBT community; however, through our local contacts and knowledge, we are able to arrange social events, day hikes, visit the best local businesses, etc. in the small port communities we visit.
Our group will be travelling with a mainstream group on gay-welcoming Holland America Line on their luxurious MS Statendam. This is not a big, all-gay party cruise, but it will be fun. As on land, the Out in Alaska philosophy is that in a huge state like Alaska with a small LGBT (and overall) population, we have to create our own LGBT social opportunities and fun. We can dine together; we’ll have a hosted cocktail party with hors d’oeuvres and our own Out in Alaska custom shore excursions. We will have a number of special amenities for our group such as 2 bottles of wine in each stateroom.
You can find out more about the MS Statendam, its staterooms, dining options, spa, and other ship facilities by visiting www.hollandamerica.com
